This new shower trend is going to completely change the way the space looks.
Multifunctional showers are large, enclosed showers that contain storage inside the shower, which will reduce clutter throughout the bathroom. They are enclosed with glass panels, which will block the shower from getting the entire bathroom wet. This space should be large enough to include a bench for those with mobility issues or just someone who likes to sit and relax in the shower. They can even enclose your bathtub within the same space.
Scandinavian Design Trend
The simplistic style of the Scandinavian bathroom will be a big trend in the new year. This type of bathroom will focus on having a neat, organized, and functional space while still feeling relaxed.
To achieve a Scandinavian-style bathroom, you’ll want to include light wood for flooring and cabinetry. White tile and paint are also necessary since they make the space look clean and bright. The Scandinavian style also tends to include sleek black finishes, so when choosing your shower head, faucets, and other hardware, that should be kept in mind.
Unique Tile
If the Scandinavian style doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, that’s okay! Using unique tile to glam up your space is also a popular bathroom design trend. Instead of using the same subway tile as everyone else, designers are on the lookout for unique and interesting tiles to use for flooring and wall coverings in the bathroom.
The tile you use, especially on the walls, should include textures like ripples and waves to add dimension to the bathroom. One example is the Zellige tile, which has been growing in popularity over the last year. They come in many shades, making the bathroom look luxurious and glamorous. Arranging tile in an elaborate pattern is also trendy, especially for flooring. Overall, we are seeing tiles that look like artwork.
