One of the highlights of the building & remodeling industry is the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), which was held in Orlando earlier this year.
KBIS is a major trade show for the kitchen & bath industry where we get a sneak peek at the latest technology and design trends hitting the market. All of the major kitchen appliance and design makers are in attendance and it is an amazing event.
One of the most essential kitchen appliances is the refrigerator. We were blown away by some of the improvements we saw on one of the most used pieces of equipment in our homes. Let’s take a look at some of the new refrigerators unveiled at this year’s show.
LG Studio Collection
The entire LG Studio Collection has a contemporary look with clean, modern lines. The LG Studio Ultra-Large Capacity Smart Side-by-Side built-in Refrigerator was designed to blend into any kitchen style.
This updated refrigerator features pro-style handles and a flush installation, and an all-stainless 9.2 inch Tall Ice and Water Dispenser. This ice and water dispenser is the tallest in its class and provides a half-gallon of chilled water capacity.
Inside, easy moving door bins which slide up and down make food storage easy. The ice is located in the freezer door, which frees up shelf space.
Signature Kitchen Suite
Signature Kitchen Suite is the fastest-growing luxury brand on the market. They unveiled their innovative and first-of-its-kind 48-inch French door refrigerator at KBIS. This refrigerator was built to impress even the most demanding consumer.
The 48-inch French door refrigerator offers convertible drawer flexibility, a sleek design, and a unique configuration that allows for more versatility. It features dual compressors and a metal interior to reduce temperature changes, a dual ice maker where you can make frustum ice, as well as slow-melting spherical craft ice, an internal water dispenser, easy to read controls, and special modes like Ice Plus and Sabbath Mode.
Lastly, the Signature Kitchen Suite’s new refrigerator has a purposeful design with adjustable door bins and hidden LED lighting which focuses on the food.
Frigidaire Gallery
The Frigidaire Gallery counter-depth four-door refrigerator was also a hit at KBIS. This refrigerator showcases CrispSeal® Fresh crispers to keep produce fresh longer than any other crisper on the market, an easy to access organization system which includes indoor condiment storage, a slide under shelf, and a flexible bin to allow space for large or tall items.
