Six Ideas for Stunning Powder Rooms

Powder room with unique light fixtures and wall coverings

One of the latest trends in home décor is creating a powder room that makes a statement and stands out from the rest of your home.

Just because the space is small, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it! Whether you want something really off the wall and unique or a more elegantly luxurious space, we can put it all together for you.

Here are some ideas of how to create a stunning powder room:

Over The Top Light Fixtures

Want to add some drama to your powder room? Add a light fixture that will steal the show. Sconces and chandeliers can easily be incorporated into a powder room design.

They’ll provide enough light to be functional while also being the focal point of the space.

Above-Counter Sink

The powder room is the perfect spot for a stylish above-counter sink.

These sinks come in a multitude of shapes and sizes and can be made from many different materials like stainless steel or porcelain. Glass is also a popular choice and will give your powder room a very high-end feel. You can also pair the sink with a unique decorative faucet to really make it stand out.

Bold Colors

As far as colors are concerned, anything goes in the powder room! Don’t be afraid to use bright oranges or yellows on your walls.

Your vanity can be emerald green or peacock blue. If you don’t want to get that colorful, you could at least add colorful accents to the room with a light fixture or small backsplash.

Unique Flooring

Since powder rooms are usually on the smaller side, many clients will add flooring they like but aren’t sure they would want in larger spaces of their homes.

This could include floors with bold, geometric patterns or colors that may look out of place in the rest of the house.

Incorporate Cool Tile

Using tile that is a little bit more flashy than you’d usually choose can give your powder room tons of personality.

We can install a wall of dark ceramic plank tiles to create a modern, moody feel. Or you could be more subtle and have us install colorful small square tiles as an accent border or backsplash to give your powder room a pop of color.

Either way, have fun with your tile choices, as they can add a lot of character to the room.

Custom Vanity

We love designing around a custom vanity. The vanity can be big or small, depending on how much storage you require, and will set the tone for the rest of the powder room.

A beautiful white vanity paired with light flooring can give the powder room a spa-like feel. You could opt for a dark wooden vanity and use earthy tones to complement it to make the powder room modern and luxurious.  We would love to bring your powder room vision to life no matter what you have in mind.
